About the Show

Set in post-revolutionary Russia and 1920s Paris, Anastasia tells the story of Anya, a young woman with amnesia who embarks on a journey to uncover her true identity. The show draws inspiration from the 1997 animated film based on the legend of Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna, one of the daughters of the last Tsar of Russia. Throughout the musical, Anya navigates political intrigue and personal discovery, all while encountering figures from her mysterious past.

The score by Ahrens and Flaherty features songs such as “Journey to the Past,” a powerful anthem of self-discovery, “Once Upon a December,” a haunting ballad that hints at Anya’s forgotten memories, and “In My Dreams.”
